On Saturday, September 25th – just a few days from now – British Lion and legendary Blackpool boxer Brian Rose will take on former WBA World Middleweight World Champion Sergio Martinez at a showdown fight in Madrid, Spain.

It’s the next step in an impressive comeback from retirement for Brian, himself a former British champion and WBO world title challenger. The 36-year-old made his return to the ring after an 18-month break to defeat Spain’s Jose Manuel Lopez Clavero in March 2021.

We first met Brian in his Blackpool gym – BR Boxing and Fitness – a few years ago, and it’s safe to say that over the time that has since elapsed, we have become big fans.

And whilst we have followed his career with interest – and no shortage of emotional investment – it is his outlook on life, positive mindset, and pride in his local community that has really impressed us most of all.

Brian has always been open about the role training has played in his own mental and physical health journey, and how the discipline and self-respect boxing has given him has driven him throughout his life. The sport has – in Brian’s own words – made him “a better person and a better dad”.

We’re proud to announce that Pathway Homes Group has recently agreed a sponsorship deal with Brian, and in the coming weeks we will be sharing more details about an exciting new wellbeing partnership that we will be delivering together in Blackpool later this autumn.

In the meantime, we hope you will join us in wishing Brian all the best for his big day in Madrid next Saturday. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more news updates on our partnership plans.
