A great strength of Pathway Homes is the positive relationships we have established with our partners. Together, we are committed to adding value to communities throughout the UK.

Over the last year, we are so proud to have partnered with Exeter City Community Trust (ECCT) – one of the South West’s leading health and wellbeing charities, and the official charity partner of Exeter City Football Club.

While football, physical activity and education are at the centre of the trust, their work in the community has grown to extend far beyond sport. The outreach of their programmes is remarkable, with the trust positively impacting more than 45,000 members of their local communities each year, 48% of which is not football related and includes social inclusion and wellbeing. To continue to make a real difference to local communities, ECCT has pledged to expand its services to positively impact all aspects of life for individuals and families.

Working collaboratively, and joined by Dawson Housing, a national housing association providing stable and sustainable homes throughout the UK, we have pioneered a new partnership to offer high-quality housing and accommodation to Exeter’s local communities. Our partners will provide a bespoke, wrap-around support service to tenants throughout Exeter who are at risk of homelessness.

From the outset, ECCT has provided an understanding of the housing needs of the region, using local knowledge as a prerequisite for the successful partnership established. Collectively, we have committed to making a measurable difference in the housing provision available in Exeter and its surrounding regions, considering potential barriers to housing, and then acknowledging and addressing each to ensure the housing programme is a success for those in need within the locality.

Over the last year, the partnership has gone from strength to strength and continued to prosper. Jamie Vittles, Chief Executive of ECCT, stated: “We partnered with Pathway to establish a supported housing programme and it’s been a very positive experience. We have found them to be professional and flexible with excellent communication”.

Pathway Homes’ construction team, led by Project Manager Sandy Black, is currently progressing on renovation and redevelopment work on several properties in Exeter. “Our team is working hard to ensure each property meets the standards that Pathway Homes prides itself on”, he said. “We have already established a great partnership with Jamie and their team at ECCT. They have been brilliant throughout, and it is so rewarding to know that our housing programme will better the lives and circumstances of people and families in this area”.
