Pathway Homes
Case StudyProject:

8-week construction programme

Take a look inside…

Welcome to the latest Pathway home, a large terraced property in a well-established residential area of Liverpool.

Prior to purchase, the property was extensively run down, barren and dilapidated, and in need of a full refurbishment programme, underpinned by significant investment.

Pathway Homes had identified a need to provide quality homes within the immediate area specifically for vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness who have been referred to by partner organisation, CCHM.

Under an ambitious eight-week construction programme, the Pathway Homes team, supported by a local supply chain, had transformed the property into an attractive multi-bedroom house with bathroom facilities and a spacious shared kitchen area. Design of the kitchen formed a critical part of the process, supporting the tenants as they developed essential life skills, preparing food and socialising.

Top of the range supplies such as oven, fridge freezer and hob, washer and dryer, were installed alongside brand-new quality, durable furniture. New non-slip flooring and fire doors were also introduced to meet all necessary safety requirements.

The entire property had been decorated and repainted creating a fresh, bright and welcoming environment.

Tenants are able to enjoy their own private space, with locks on their bedroom door, coupled with shared facilities and spaces to encourage meeting and interaction.
